About
Expertise informed by empathy
A seasoned safeguarding professional and education lead with a career spanning over 15 years in local authority, educational, and independent settings. My work in safeguarding has always been rooted in people, not just policy. I care deeply about how systems feel to the children, families, and professionals who move within them, and I am motivated by making those systems safer, kinder, and more effective in practice.
With over 15 years' experience in safeguarding, student welfare, and family support, I have worked closely with local authorities, health and social care, education settings, and the police. This has given me a grounded understanding of how safeguarding really works day to day: competing pressures, staff absence, complex risk, and the emotional weight that professionals quietly carry.
Alongside my designated safeguarding leadership roles, I have developed a particular strength in stepping in where there is pressure on capacity. I offer flexible, bespoke support to organisations who need an experienced safeguarding professional to hold the fort or enhance their team, whether that is covering staff sickness, supporting family support work, or providing social work-aligned assistance on a short or longer-term basis.
I believe in being both approachable and reliable. Whether I am working with a local authority, a health team, a school, the police, or a private organisation, my focus is always the same: to add capacity, clarity, and care, so that children and families receive the support they deserve.
